GARDEN MAP

1ST FLOOR

(B10) Front Gate:
The Front Gate is the main entrance to the Garden. Upon entering the outer part of the gate, visitors travel up a set of stairs and through a landscaped area before proceeding to a security checkpoint at the inner gate. SeeD, students, and visitors must present their IDs for inspection in order to pass and enter the inside of the Garden.

(A10) Lobby:
The Front Gate entrance leads directly to the Lobby. The Lobby is the unofficial center of the Garden and a gathering point for students. Its main features are a Garden directory and an elevator which allows students to access other floors. The Lobby itself is shaped like a ring, with the main first floor sections of the Garden branching off of it like spokes on a wheel.

(B17) Library:
Following the Lobby to the right, the southeastern corridor branching off from the ring leads to the Balamb Garden Library. Open from 0900 until curfew, all of its materials are available to students. Garden faculty discourages conversation in the library as people use the area to study and work. Public computers are available for use here.

(B16) Training Center:
Continuing up the Lobby ring counter-clockwise, the eastern corridor leads to the Training Center. Known by students as the "Monster's Lair," it is open 24 hours a day, even after curfew. There are real monsters here, mainly Grats and T-Rexaurs, to challenge students' fighting skills. The Training Center also contains a hidden section called the "Secret Area," a large wedge-shaped grate and stone balcony overlooking the Garden, where students go to socialize or otherwise meet in private after curfew under the noses of the Garden Faculty. The view at night is rumored to be beautiful.

In addition, there is a physical education training ground off the eastern corridor, and community showers located directly outside of the Training Center. The showers are split into men's and women's and are for visitor, staff, SeeD and cadet use.

(B15) Parking Lot:
The northeastern corridor leads to The Parking Lot. The Parking Lot is an underground complex that houses most of Balamb Garden's road vehicles including the SeeD Personal Carrier Vehicles for student transportation. The Parking Lot is accessed via a road that travels past the Balamb Garden Front Gate.

(A14) Dormitories:
The northern corridor leads to the Dormitories. The dorms are split in half: one side for women, the other for men; the second floor also has gender-neutral dorms where men and women can share a room. Balamb Cadets share dorms with each other, with two single bedrooms connected to a shared living space. The bedrooms consist of a bed, a night stand and an in-wall shelf for student belongings. The shared living space features a kitchenette, a small lounge, and a single half-bath (toilet, sink). SeeD members and RAs, however, are given their own dormitory rooms that consist of the same setup but with a single room. During curfew, students can only leave their dorms for the Training Center. For a list of current in-game dorm assignments, look here.

(A13) Cafeteria:
The northwest corridor leads to The Cafeteria. The Cafeteria is open from 0630-2100, and students can order meals for the night and pick them up before curfew. The most popular dish is the Balamb Garden Hot Dogs. The Cafeteria is sectioned into two areas, the buffet line and the tables. The tables, which seat four each, are situated in a relaxing scenic area off to the side of the buffet line and are a popular hang-out spot for Balamb cadets to meet and exchange gossip.

(A12) Quad:
The western corridor leads to The Quad. The Quad is an open-air garden, and a place for students to relax. It also has a stage where students can watch performances or films. Recently, the Home Ec classes and Sigyn have separately created gardens in the Quad, and a Tanabata tree has also been planted on the grounds.

(A11) Infirmary:
The southwest corridor leads to The Infirmary. Here, Doctor Kadowaki takes care of the students who are sick or injured in battle. The infirmary consists of two partitioned areas with a bed each. An extra futon bed is provided for students who need to lie down when the partitioned rooms are occupied.

2ND FLOOR

Classrooms:
The classrooms are located on the second floor, circling around the main elevator in a ring. Students are obliged to be present in classes five minutes before the bell rings. There are 36 shared computers in every class. Each student has a log-on screen, in which they may store school-related and personal information. Students may also store GFs in their computers. SeeDs don't have to go to classes, as they have completed their training.

Ballroom:
The Ballroom is only used for special occasions, such as the SeeD graduation ball, Garden Festival celebrations, and other formal events. It is a large, two-story room with a glass dome ceiling and a stone balcony.

The Commander's Office:
The Commander's Office is on the second floor, accessible to anyone. The hall door opens into a small receiving area with another door leading to the office proper. Both are fairly spartan, with little decoration.

Office of the Dean of Academics:
The mirror to the Commander's office, the Dean of Academics has a similar office on the upper side of the second floor.

Adult Lounge:
Originally requested by Raine Loire (and funded, it is rumored, by her husband President Laguna Loire of Esthar), the lounge was originally a place for those twenty-one and over to relax. The bar served beverages both alcoholic and not, and there are tables and a range of comfortable chairs. However, it is not currently staffed, and the supplies have not been restocked since Raine's departure via time compression in February 2012.

3RD FLOOR

Headmaster's Office:
The Headmaster's Office is located on the third floor, accessible by the main elevator. Students may only visit the Headmaster's Office when summoned by Headmaster Cid.

Bridge:
The Bridge is accessible from the third floor, via an elevator in the middle of the Headmaster's Office. Navigation and piloting controls are located on the Bridge.

MD

Basement:
The Balamb Garden basement is only accessible by the main elevator with special permission from the Headmaster. It is home to NORG and the machinery to transform the Garden from its stationary form to its mobile form.

Home Ec Classroom:
A Home Ec classroom that looks like it comes from a different video game entirely. What's this doing down here?!
